I mentioned to some of you that when I finished school, I'd re-do the site... well, here it is:

The new TulaneFIJI.com is a complete web portal complete with news, private messaging, and forums. You do have to create an account to do much with the site, but it is a pretty painless process.The new forum system is a lot better than the old one. Among other things, it is easier to use and you can see who is currently online. Instead of having a bunch of forums for different topics, we just have a "General Discussion" forum. I can always add more forums later, but I don't really see a point because news of general interest can be submitted to the main site under a number of categories (e.g. FIJI, Tulane, Personal/Family, etc.).

You can still browse the old forums using the link on the right of this page, but I have disabled them so that no new messages can be posted. I may eventually try to migrate the old forums to the new one, but that will probably be a huge pain in the ass.

Please note that the graduate database is not integrated into the user accounts for this site so if you move, etc. please submit your new info there too.

Finally, I'm going to do away with the brothers@tulanefiji.com mailing list. Unfortunately, it has become a haven for spammers. Since the new site is a lot more interactive, I don't think anyone should miss the mailing list that much. If you ever have urgent news that you need to get to all of the graduates right away, just send it to me and I can e-mail it.
